Famous Tennis Star Serena Williams Enters Into Crypto World with Coinbase Investment
The global adoption of crypto and fascinating interest towards emerging crypto-oriented companies are hot bulletins today – as one of the famous Tennis stars ‘Serena Williams’ announces her new Venture Capital (VC) firm. She has confirmed that her VC is already made an investment into Coinbase exchange, the famous crypto trading platform.
Serena Jameka Williams, a 37-year-old Gold medalist and one of the best friend of Meghan Markle is secretly entered into crypto space. Beside athlete, Mom, Super Bowl commercial actress, the lady is now also a badass investor. Her Instagram posts on April 17, 2019, reveals that Williams is interestingly looking to invest in forwarding thinking companies and as such, she has launched her new VC firm, called Serena Ventures.

Besides this great news, she has also posted pictures that reveal ‘a couple of famous companies’ she made an investment in – among such companies including Tonal, Flora vere, Olly, LOLA, the famous cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase stands brighter.

Although Coinbase is one among the company receiving funding from Serena Ventures, there’s no announcement from Coinbase official yet. However, it is still unclear how bullish William is towards crypto and blockchain companies as she didn’t reveal anything about BTC, or other aspects of the crypto ecosystem.
Nevertheless, her website mentioned former asset manager at JP Morgan, Alison Rapaport as the vice president. Rapaport with this position will undertake the fund’s portfolio and new investments.
